What We Love About These Popular Franchises

When developing your own franchise marketing strategy, it’s natural to look to some of your favorite brands for inspiration. And this inspo doesn’t have to come exclusively from brands within your industry. Whether they’re franchises you frequent in your daily life or industry-leading brands whose growth you admire, analyzing what these companies are doing right can help you create an effective franchise marketing strategy.

To get your creativity pumping, we’ve complied a short (and by no means complete!) list of franchises we’re crushing on. With franchise collateral worth getting googly-eyed over, each of these brands is making a splash in their respective industries and raising the bar for business-to-business marketing.

Blo Blow Dry Bar’s Stand Out Branding

Effective franchise marketing requires you to find a balance between consistency with your consumer brand and creating collateral with its own distinct look and feel. After all, you wouldn’t want your franchise website to be so similar to your consumer website that it confuses candidates or frustrates customers, right?

There are a number of brands out there who have beautifully merged their consumer and franchise-facing branding, but one that sticks out to us is Blo Blow Dry Bar. Using bold pops of their signature pink, consistent fonts, and targeted language, their franchise collateral captures all of the sass of their brand without sacrificing an ounce of professionalism. Reading through their collateral, you can see that each line is intentional and reflects Blo Blow Dry Bar’s perky personality.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit’s Smokin’ Franchise Website

Your franchise website serves as a home base for candidates exploring your opportunity. It should not only provide interested entrepreneurs with everything they need to know about your opportunity, but also get them excited! The trick is that you have to spark the candidate’s attention as soon as they enter the site and hold it tight as they browse each page.

A great example of this can be found on the Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchise site. As you flow through each page, you’ll be fed just the right amount of information to keep you wanting more. Bold images head up each page followed by on-brand language that sounds as if it should be read with a Southern twang. Intuitive navigation makes it easy to move through the site and a call-to-action can be found on every page. If this doesn’t make a candidate hungry for their franchise opportunity, we don’t know what will.

Dunkin’s Targeted Franchise Ads

Dunkin’s legendary branding may seem like enough advertising in itself, but an experienced franchise like Dunkin’ understands the benefit of targeted franchise collateral. Some people don’t know they can franchise a Dunkin’, others just need to be reminded of everything this industry giant has to offer.

Dunkin’ is a pro at knowing how, when, and where to place ads to attract the right franchise candidates. With targeted ads appearing in different markets, Dunkin’ adjusts their language and imagery to better home in on specific audiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Biscuit Belly’s Brand Personality

We’ve talked a lot about major players in the franchise industry, but there are tons of new opportunities with impressive marketing assets. Biscuit Belly, a brand-new franchise hot off the Louisville, KY market, has created a brand personality as warm as, well… fresh baked biscuits. With bright colors, friendly copy, and inventive foodie photography, this relatively small franchise brand won’t stay small for long.

We love that this website takes a big brand personality and compacts it into a bold, but short, website that covers top-level points. Plus, we want nothing more than to hop on a plane and try those fried chicken sandwiches after seeing those images!
